Greetings from Mountain Art Festivals, Mark Beling, Director
The Highest Quality (altitude) Art Festivals in America!
For 2008, we will again have FOUR Summit County Art Festivals. Breckenridge will host three Mountain Art Festivals. The 25th Annual Breckenridge July Art Festival * July 4, 5, & 6 will for the 2nd year be located at Main Street Station and the Village at Breckenridge. At the 2007 show, artists and patrons alike enjoyed the ambience and intimacy of Main Street Station (an upscale retail shopping area) and the Village at Breckenridge (Hotel and condominium complex) which are adjacent to each other at the south end of Main Street. Both properties are thrilled to be hosting the show and with the 4th of July falling on a long weekend this show should be stupendous! The 7th Annual Breckenridge Main Street Art Festival * July 25, 26, & 27 will once again be held at the north end of town in the Wellington/Sawmill lots (the same location as last year). This location enables the show to be Much Larger, adjacent to the BIG parking lots, easier set up & tear down, AND held on the busiest weekend of the summer in Breckenridge. IT’S A WIN, WIN Situation. The 33rd Annual Gathering at the Great Divide Art Festival *August 30, 31, and September 1, same location and dates as last year. The tradition lives on! Lastly, The Town of Dillon will host the Dillon Art Festival * July 18, 19, & 20 in downtown Dillon.
The Dillon Art Festival * July 18, 19 & 20, presented in cooperation with the Town of Dillon is a 2nd year show we are very excited about! The Town is excited to have us, the artists from last year were well received and liked the venue according to their end of show Questionnaires, and if you haven’t been to Dillon, you will love it. It is a beautiful lakeside mountain resort community in Summit County located in the center of the world’s greatest ski resorts. Just 2 miles off of I-70, with Keystone Resort 5 miles to the southeast and the high end ranches and developments north of Silverthorne 5 miles to the north. The views from town of the Lake and the mountains are breathtaking. This location will give you access to the many affluent residents and visitors of these communities who will not travel to Breckenridge to our other festivals.
The Town of Breckenridge and Dillon staff continue to be very supportive of the past changes and current locations. We are hopeful that these dates and locations will be consistent for the future and we will continue to work hard to insure that will happen.
We hope you will join us in Breckenridge and Dillon, Colorado this summer!
Sincerely,
MARK
